Job Description

Key Responsibilities Be the consumer insights champion and be the voice of the consumer for a set of categories. The insights should lead to strong strategy setting and decision making support across the company based on compelling insights. Identify market research needs and priorities, based on company’s and categories’ strategy and in-depth understanding of the market Establish correlations between different research results, internal metrices and syndicated data to triangulate and form effective strategies – which go beyond executing and disseminating project specific results Translating business questions to research learning plans Proficiency in understanding Nielsen and Kantar HH Panel. Managing the research budget Leverage new cutting edge tools like DIY researches, Social Listening, Web-scraping and deliver quick, live and actionable insights To create a competitive advantage by delivering insights that help define strategy and facilitate speed and accuracy of decision-making Provide high quality support and build and develop relationships with all internal stakeholders – including brand teams and regional marketing teams – input into portfolio choices, in-market interventions and investment decisions Develop strong relationships with external research suppliers and ensure superior service and quality Simplify the large data sets through effective data visualization and disseminate market intelligence to all the relevant stakeholders Provide consumer insight coaching and training for the organization Effectively participate and lead in developing the martech core competence for the organization through new cutting edge tools using data science, machine learning and AI Education & Experience MBA or equivalent from an institute of repute 8+ years’ experience, with preferably both client and research agency experience Expertise in handling quantitative and qualitative research tools and techniques – NPD research processes, segmentation, brand equity. Should have handled brand tracks and large scale U&As. Experience with leading industry tools like Nielsen software, Kantar Panel software, advanced excel – would be an added advantage Good knowledge and understanding of statistical analyses Strong in culling out insights and going beyond data outputs Excellent communication and presentation skills Comfortable with top management and good in developing win-win relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders External interpersonal skills to influence and build positive working relationships Commercial understanding of the business and being organization savvy Courage and confidence to present hard truths to the organization Equal Opportunity Employer As a multi-category organization which caters to a wide range of customers across geographies; we believe a diverse workforce is an essential asset to cater to the business environment we operate in.
