Role Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated professional to join our Accounting Advisory team. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in accounting standards (such as US GAAP, IFRS, and/or local GAAP ), a strong grasp of financial reporting, and a proven track record of handling complex and dynamic accounting projects. This role involves advising clients on technical accounting matters, enhancing financial reporting processes, and supporting initiatives such as M&A transactions, IPO readiness, and GAAP conversions . Key Responsibilities: Advise clients on the development and implementation of accounting policies, particularly related to ASC 606 (Revenue Recognition) and other key standards. Act as a subject matter expert on revenue recognition, collaborating closely with Corporate Accounting, Divisional Finance, and other stakeholders, including senior leadership. Lead and execute accounting advisory engagements, including technical accounting assessments, financial statement preparation, and complex accounting solutions. Educate global business teams on the intricacies of revenue accounting and its broader business implications. Develop a deep understanding of client operations, processes, and objectives to provide tailored audit and advisory support. Prepare and review technical accounting memos and position papers. Perform audit procedures related to revenue recognition, including examination of financial records and supporting documentation. Engage proactively with client management to gather insights, resolve audit issues, and recommend process improvements. Support monthly and quarterly revenue reporting activities. Manage and execute additional revenue recognition projects as needed. Contribute to IPO readiness efforts and transaction-related accounting, including purchase price allocation, financial due diligence, and post-deal integration. Build and maintain strong client relationships through collaborative engagement. Assist in business development activities, including the preparation of proposals and presentations. Basic Qualification: 3–5 years of financial audit experience in a professional services environment. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting. Strong technical knowledge of US GAAP and/or IFRS. CPA or Chartered Accountant designation. Experience with a Big 4, national, or large regional accounting firm is preferred. Prior experience in technical accounting and implementation of ASC 606 is strongly preferred. Preferred Skills: Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills - confidence in professional aptitude and ability to effectively convey skills, knowledge, and qualifications to others.
