Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Commis I to join our team in the hospitality industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cooking and kitchen management, with excellent communication skills.

Roles and Responsibility

Assist the Chef de Partie in planning and preparing menus for special events and functions.
Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and safety in the kitchen.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient service delivery.
Develop new recipes and menu ideas to enhance the culinary experience.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
Participate in inventory management and stock control of kitchen supplies.

Job Requirements

Proven experience as a Commis I or similar role in a professional kitchen environment.
Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and menu planning.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
Ability to maintain high standards of food quality and presentation.
Familiarity with kitchen equipment and utensils, including cleaning and maintenance procedures.
Adaptability to changing situations and priorities in a fast-paced kitchen setting.
