Role Overview

Chief Operating Officer (COO)

Key Responsibilities

1. Operational Leadership

  • Own and manage end-to-end daily operations across workshops, service centers, and backend functions
  • Ensure seamless execution of service workflows, SOPs, and delivery timelines
  • Monitor and improve key operational metrics such as productivity, turnaround time, rework rate, and customer satisfaction
  • Establish operational discipline and consistency across all units and vendors

2. Process & SOP Governance

  • Design, implement, and continuously refine SOPs for:
  • Service operations
  • Quality control and final inspection
  • Customer communication and approvals
  • Inventory and procurement
  • Build systems that reduce dependency on individuals
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, safety norms, and ethical standards

3. People & Culture Management

  • Lead all operational teams including Floor Managers, Service Advisors, Technicians, and Admin staff
  • Define clear roles, KRAs, performance benchmarks, and accountability structures
  • Oversee recruitment, training, onboarding, and performance management
  • Build a culture focused on ownership, integrity, and continuous improvement

4. Quality Control & Customer Experience

  • Own service quality standards and customer satisfaction outcomes
  • Minimize complaints, repeat issues, and escalations
  • Ensure transparent, professional, and trust-driven customer communication
  • Uphold brand promise through consistent service excellence

5. Financial & Unit Economics Oversight

  • Manage operational costs and improve unit-level profitability
  • Track margins per job, per workshop, and per service category
  • Coordinate with finance on budgets, cash flow discipline, and cost optimization
  • Maintain effective inventory planning and vendor payment cycles

6. Vendor & Partner Management

  • Manage outsourcing partners, suppliers, and service vendors
  • Ensure SLA compliance, quality benchmarks, and cost discipline
  • Build reliable, long-term vendor relationships aligned with company values

7. Scalability & Expansion Readiness

  • Prepare operations for multi-location expansion and replication
  • Standardize systems for future franchise or network models
  • Support pilot projects, new launches, and geographic expansion initiatives

8. Strategic Execution & Founder Support

  • Act as the Founder’s execution partner
  • Translate strategic goals into clear action plans with ownership and timelines
  • Provide ground-level operational insights for leadership decision-making
