Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Service Delivery Manager (SDM) with a strong background in IT infrastructure services and a proven track record in the Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI) sector. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing the delivery of end-to-end IT services across Data Center operations, Operating Systems (Windows/Linux), and Database environments (Oracle, SQL Server, position requires a strategic thinker and hands-on leader capable of ensuring operational excellence, service level compliance, and continuous improvement across mission-critical infrastructure platforms that support BFSI systems. Key Responsibilities Service Delivery & Operations Management : Lead the planning, execution, and governance of IT infrastructure services related to Data Centers, OS platforms, and databases. Ensure uninterrupted service delivery, meeting or exceeding SLAs and KPIs as defined with business stakeholders. Act as the primary escalation point for infrastructure-related incidents and service & Customer Management : Collaborate with internal business units, technology teams, and external vendors to ensure aligned service objectives. Serve as a trusted advisor to senior BFSI clients and stakeholders, ensuring their operational and compliance needs are met. Infrastructure Oversight Oversee and ensure the health, availability, security, and performance of data centers and hosted infrastructure. Govern OS-level administration for Windows Server and Linux/Red Hat environments. Monitor and manage enterprise database systems (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL) with a focus on performance, security, and uptime. Team Leadership & Development Lead and mentor cross-functional teams including system administrators, DBAs, and infrastructure specialists. Foster a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and Compliance & Risk Management : Ensure infrastructure services comply with BFSI regulatory standards, internal controls, and audit requirements. Conduct regular reviews, capacity planning, and disaster recovery drills. Continuous Improvement & Automation Identify opportunities for automation, efficiency improvements, and innovation within the infrastructure services domain. Drive process standardization and tool adoption to enhance service delivery quality. Experience Required Qualifications & Skills : Minimum 15+ years of IT experience, with at least 5+ years in a Service Delivery Manager or IT leadership role, specifically in the BFSI domain. Hands-on knowledge of Data Center operations, OS administration (Windows/Linux), and Database platforms (Oracle, SQL, etc.). Technical Expertise In Data Center management and facilities (HVAC, power, DR/BCP readiness). Enterprise OS platforms : Windows Server, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, CentOS, etc. Enterprise Database systems : Oracle DB, Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL. ITSM tools (ServiceNow, BMC Remedy, etc.) and monitoring tools (SolarWinds, Nagios, etc.). Domain Knowledge Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks, cybersecurity practices, and uptime requirements in the BFSI sector. Soft Skills Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Strong problem-solving abilities and decision-making under (Preferred) : ITIL Foundation or higher PMP or equivalent project management certification Vendor certifications (Red Hat, Microsoft, Oracle) are a plus Reporting To Head of Infrastructure Services / CIO Compensation As per industry standards and based on experience.
