Overview of the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Chief Operating Officer (COO) to oversee the day-to-day operations of our manufacturing business. The COO will be responsible for driving operational excellence, streamlining processes, and ensuring sustainable growth. This role requires a strong background in manufacturing, supply chain management, operational strategy, and leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership

  • Oversee all daily operations across production, quality, supply chain, logistics, and maintenance.
  • Develop and implement efficient manufacturing strategies to ensure optimal productivity and cost control.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, etc.).

Strategic Planning & Execution

  • Work closely with the CEO and executive team to define long-term business goals.
  • Translate business strategy into operational objectives with measurable outcomes.
  • Identify opportunities for process automation and digitization. Manufacturing & Production
  • Ensure production schedules are met while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and compliance.
  • Monitor capacity planning and resource allocation for efficiency.
  • Oversee new product launches and technology integration.

Financial & Budgetary Oversight

  • Manage budgets, forecasts, and cost control measures for operations.
  • Analyze operational metrics and present performance reports to the Board/CEO.
  • Drive profitability through margin improvement and waste reduction. People & Culture
  • Lead and mentor senior operational managers and plant heads.
  • Build a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous learning.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, health & safety regulations, and ethical business practices. Stakeholder & Supply Chain Management
  • Manage supplier/vendor relationships to ensure quality and timely delivery.
  • Optimize inventory management and distribution networks.
  • Partner with customers to understand requirements and ensure satisfaction.

Key Requirements

  • 15+ years of progressive experience in manufacturing operations, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Strong track record of operational efficiency, process optimization, and business scaling.
  • In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, supply chain, lean practices, and regulatory compliance.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage P&L and drive financial performance.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Management (MBA preferred).

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹200,000.00 - ₹500,000.00 per month
