Chief Marketing Officer

Role Overview
This is a Group CMO role overseeing marketing strategy for multiple business verticals, ranging from legacy brands to emerging technology ventures. The leader will define and scale a unified marketing vision, build strong digital growth engines, strengthen brand equity, and drive customer engagement across diverse audiences.The role reports to the Group MD and works in close partnership with business heads, product leaders, and sales teams.
Key Responsibilities
Brand & Strategic Marketing
- Define and unify brand architecture across all business entities
- Lead brand positioning, storytelling, and consistent communication across channels
- Drive full-funnel marketing across ATL, BTL, digital, content, influencer, and experiential platforms
Digital & Growth Marketing
- Build a strong digital presence and content ecosystem for the Group and its business units
- Develop and scale performance marketing, CRM, lifecycle marketing, and data-driven growth functions
- Enable digital acquisition engines for online-first products and platforms
MarTech, Innovation & Analytics
- Deploy modern marketing technologies including automation, analytics, AI-driven tools
- Experiment with new digital experiences, platforms, formats, and engagement models
Agency & Media Leadership
- Manage external partners including creative, digital, media, PR, and performance agencies
- Build selective in-house capabilities based on value and maturity
Cross-Functional & Leadership Alignment
- Partner closely with sales teams to align marketing with revenue outcomes
- Collaborate with product, tech, and business leaders for GTM success across segments
Team & Culture Building
- Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing, multi-skilled marketing team
- Champion creativity, data-led decision making, and consumer-first thinking
Candidate Profile
Must-Have Experience
- 15-20 years of marketing leadership across consumer or technology-led businesses
- Deep expertise in brand building, digital marketing, customer marketing, PR, and communication
- Experience managing multi-category or multi-business marketing portfolios
- Proven ability to scale brands through both traditional and digital growth channels
Preferred Background
- Exposure to sectors such as automotive, mobility, consumer tech, digital commerce, AI/software solutions, or ed-tech
- Experience in organizations undergoing transformation, scale-up, or diversification
