Hiring :- Chief Business Officer (CBO)



Location: Bangalore

Experience: 15–20 years

About the Company



We are a growth-stage B2B SaaS company serving SMEs across India, operating a high-performance inside sales engine with strong retention and repeat revenue. The company has a stable leadership foundation, including a long-tenured Sales Head, and is entering its next phase of scale.





Role Overview



We are looking for a Chief Business Officer (CBO) to take full ownership of business execution and outcomes. This role sits above the Sales Head and works directly with the Founder as a second-in-command.


The CBO will own Revenue, Sales, Operations, Support, and Retention, ensuring disciplined execution, cross-functional alignment, and consistent business performance.


This is a hands-on operating leadership role, not an advisory position.





Key Responsibilities



  • Own company-wide business execution and outcomes
  • Lead, mentor, and review the Sales Head and functional leaders
  • Drive inside sales discipline, forecasting, and accountability
  • Establish strong operating cadence (daily / weekly / monthly reviews)
  • Handle escalations, pressure situations, and critical decisions
  • Improve conversion, productivity, and retention metrics
  • Translate strategy into clear, executable plans
  • Act as the final owner of outcomes, not an escalator






What We’re Looking For



  • 15–20 years of experience in revenue-led businesses
  • Prior experience managing Sales Heads / Zonal Heads / Business Heads
  • Proven exposure to large inside sales organisations
  • Experience owning company-level revenue or business numbers
  • Strong authority, calm under pressure, low ego
  • Comfortable getting hands-on when required
  • Background in EdTech, Marketplaces, PropTech, FinTech, or SME-focused businesses is a strong plus






What This Role Is Not



  • Not a strategy-only role
  • Not a consultant or advisory position
  • Not a replacement for the Sales Head
