The operations set in Goa have a capacity of 7.5 KTPA of Nickel & Cobalt along with by-products such as Manganese Sulphate & Sodium Sulphate. The Opportunity:

• Overall Plant Management: As the Head of the Nickel Manufacturing Plant, you will be responsible for the overall management and leadership of plant operations. This includes overseeing all aspects of production, quality control, maintenance, safety, and compliance to ensure the plant operates efficiently and meets business objectives.

• Business Planning and Strategy: Develop and implement strategic business plans and objectives for the nickel manufacturing plant, aligned with corporate goals and market dynamics. Identify opportunities for growth, expansion, and optimization within the nickel manufacturing sector, and drive initiatives to enhance plant performance and competitiveness.

• Identify forward and backward opportunities in Nickel Supply chain and execute the strategies to make business profitable

• Operational Excellence: Ensure smooth and efficient day-to-day operations of the nickel manufacturing plant, optimizing processes, workflows, and resource utilization. Implement best practices in manufacturing and production management to maximize productivity, minimize downtime, and reduce operating costs.

• Quality Assurance and Control: Establish and maintain rigorous quality assurance and control measures to ensure the highest standards of product quality and consistency. Implement quality management systems, conduct regular inspections and audits, and address any deviations or non-conformities promptly to meet customer expectations and regulatory requirements.

• Safety and Environmental Compliance: Promote a culture of safety, health, and environmental stewardship throughout the plant. Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations, standards, and protocols to minimize risks and prevent accidents or incidents. Implement and enforce environmental sustainability initiatives to minimize the plant's ecological footprint and ensure responsible manufacturing practices.

• Team Leadership and Development: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of managers, supervisors, and staff members within the nickel manufacturing plant. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement, empowering employees to excel in their roles and contribute to the plant's success.

• Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, regulatory agencies, and community partners. Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand their needs and expectations, address concerns, and foster mutually beneficial partnerships.

• Financial Management: Manage the financial performance of the nickel manufacturing plant, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control measures. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), analyze financial data, and implement strategies to optimize profitability, maximize return on investment (ROI), and achieve financial targets.

The Successful Applicant

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Metallurgy, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in nickel manufacturing or related industries, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
• Strong technical knowledge of nickel manufacturing processes, equipment, and technologies.
• Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale manufacturing operations, delivering results, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
