Development and Social Welfare Officer - Tuticorin

Sterlite Copper’s Tuticorin smelter is India’s first and most prestigious, world-class copper plant. For 30 years, it has transformed Tuticorin by providing the local community with livelihood, wealth and prosperity. We are seeking a highly respected and community-rooted leader to lead Development and Social Welfare in Tuticorin.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Lead Engagement with local stakeholders and community leaders
• Coordinate with government on Community Initiatives
• Initiate and lead Social Upliftment Initiatives
• Encourage Local Entrepreneurs to develop downstream industries (Copper, fertilizer, etc.)
• Track and report Local Sentiment
• Coordinate Public Outreach efforts

Who We Are Looking For:

• Proven track record leading Social Welfare, Community Engagement or Public Service
• Trusted and Respected leader familiar with Tuticorin, its people and socio-political landscape
• Strong understanding of Governance and Compliance frameworks and Stakeholder management
