About The Opportunity

Education sector — K–12 schooling focused on Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) standards, delivering holistic academic and co-curricular programmes to drive student outcomes and institutional excellence. This is a senior on-site leadership role responsible for academic quality, operational integrity, regulatory compliance and community engagement across the school campus in India.

  • Provide strategic academic leadership: set vision, translate CBSE curricula into measurable learning objectives and ensure consistent delivery across grade levels.
  • Lead faculty hiring, professional development and performance management to build a high-performing teaching team and raise instructional quality.
  • Oversee student welfare, discipline, inclusive practices and safeguarding policies to ensure a safe, supportive learning environment.
  • Manage school operations — budget oversight, resource allocation, infrastructure maintenance and vendor relationships to optimise campus effectiveness.
  • Ensure full compliance with CBSE regulations and state education norms, coordinate inspections, accreditation and board examinations.
  • Drive stakeholder engagement: maintain transparent communications with parents, governing body, local community and external partners to boost enrollment and reputation.

Skills & Qualifications

Must-Have

  • Postgraduate degree in Education/Management or equivalent with B.Ed; M.Ed or MBA (Education) preferred.
  • Minimum 5–8 years of progressive leadership experience in CBSE-affiliated schools, including prior experience as Vice-Principal/Head of Department or Principal.
  • Proven track record of curriculum implementation, student assessment strategies and improving academic outcomes.
  • Strong knowledge of CBSE regulations, examination processes and school administration best practices.

Preferred

  • Experience managing budgets, admissions strategy and school accreditation projects.
  • A candidate in their 50's is preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal, conflict-resolution and stakeholder-management skills with fluency in English and local language(s).
