Duties & Responsibilities Design and build databases, schemas, stored procedures and other database objects. Performs advanced backup and recovery on Database Management Systems, configures database parameters, and prototypes designs against logical data models. Defines data repository requirements, data dictionaries, and warehousing requirements. Improves database performance and capacity, and plans for future expansion requirements. Works with database engineering to develop ongoing assessments of database performance and identify problem areas. Modifies the database structure, as necessary, from information given by developers. Provides mentorship to other members of the Database Team. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to meet deadlines. Mentorship skills.
