Business Continuity Management (BCM) is essential in today s environment. Key Responsibilities: Support the design, implementation and maintenance of the quality assurance and consequence management framework for BCM program adherence. Provide guidance on BCM best practices, regulatory requirements, and risk mitigation strategies to various stakeholders. Partner with Business Unit teams across the Company to identify and document key business functions; ensure each business function is risk assessed; and identify business function dependencies (e.g., 3rd parties, Technology, People, Location). Support the review of business impact analyses (BIAs), business continuity plans, risk mitigation strategies and corresponding exercises to ensure alignment with the bank s resilience objectives. Provide oversight on program requirements and ensure appropriate execution by Business Unit teams. Ensure BCM documentation and plans remain up to date and meet internal and external compliance standards (e.g., ISO 22301, FFIEC, etc.). Support regulator, Internal Audit, and 2 nd Line Oversight reviews. Support Capability Design and Development as and when required. Qualifications: Experience and Background: 2 + years experience in Risk Management and/or Business Continuity. Experience of the Risk Oversight function is preferable. Strong understanding of American Express products, services, and organizational structure Ability to work independently with minimum supervision. Ability to see the big picture with attention given to critical details and identify gaps. Demonstrated ability to successfully manage multiple priorities under pressure. Analytical bent of mind ability to look at data and draw meaningful insights. Bachelor s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
