Your Impact
As a Capabilities & Insights (C&I) Analyst, you will be based in Gurugram, India, as part of our Digital & Tech Insights (DTi) team. As part of this group, you’ll join a global team working on everything from tech strategy and sourcing to tech delivery across a spectrum of domains. You’ll typically work on projects across all industries and functions and will be fully integrated with our global firm.You’ll also work with colleagues across different arms of McKinsey & Company to help our clients deliver breakthrough products, experiences, and businesses on technology topics. Our office culture is casual, fun and social, with an emphasis on learning and innovation. There is also a strong emphasis on mentoring others in the group, enabling them to grow and learn.As a C&I Analyst in the DTi team, you will play a critical role in supporting a broad range of client project teams across various practices. Your responsibilities will include providing first-line support to client service teams, delivering high-quality analysis, insights and expertise to address their client needs.You will collaborate with client project teams to scope and problem-solve their requirements. Clarify request objectives and determine the most appropriate and timely delivery approach. You will conduct in-depth research using relevant, qualified resources (e.g., proprietary and external databases, analyst reports) to deliver accurate, up-to-date, and targeted information.You will also: perform standard analyses as required, and summarize, synthesize, and package relevant data and insights into client-ready formats (e.g., well-developed documents, databases, models, and charts); support the development and codification of knowledge assets, such as detailed documents, knowledge nuggets, and qualification packs; contribute to the creation of LOPs and other client development materials; assist in the development and maintenance of databases, tools, and capabilities, including assets, knowledge repositories, fact packs, case studies, and primers, within your area of expertise; develop fluency in McKinsey terminology, concepts, and the Client Capabilities network; gain proficiency in core information/data sources, firm formats, and IT tools; take the initiative to support and coach junior colleagues, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment; and work closely with experienced colleagues who will mentor and coach you, providing feedback to support your professional and personal growth.
Your Qualifications and Skills
- An undergraduate degree in engineering with 2+ years of work experience in Digital/IT services
- Excellent organizational capabilities, including the ability to initiate tasks independently and see them through to completion
- Proficient in rational decision making based on data, facts, and logical reasoning. Strong analytical and quantitative skills; good problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to create product-focused materials/outputs, which would include PowerPoint decks, Excel models, etc.
- Exceptional time management to meet your responsibilities in a complex and largely autonomous work environment
- Professional attitude, intellectual curiosity, good team player, and customer service orientation
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize
- Willing to work in a highly demanding and result-oriented team environmen
