Job Description

Job Title: Business Head – Manufacturing (Project Execution & Operations)

Location: 389P-390, 1st floor, Sector 29, Gurugram Haryana, 122022

Department: Operations / Projects

Reports To: Managing Director / CEO


Job Purpose:

To lead and drive the overall business operations of the manufacturing unit with a strategic focus on project execution, operational excellence, and profitability. The Business Head will ensure seamless integration of all functions including production, project delivery, supply chain, quality, and cross-functional coordination.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Leadership:

Develop and implement strategic plans for business growth and operational efficiency.

Lead the business unit to meet and exceed profitability and performance targets.

Collaborate with senior leadership to align manufacturing strategies with organizational goals.


2. Project Execution:

Oversee end-to-end execution of manufacturing and infrastructure projects.

Ensure timely delivery of projects within scope, budget, and quality standards.

Monitor project planning, resource allocation, risk mitigation, and stakeholder coordination.


3. Operational Management:

Streamline plant operations including production planning, quality assurance, maintenance, and inventory.

Improve operational KPIs – productivity, cost control, downtime, efficiency, etc.

Implement Lean, Six Sigma, or other efficiency improvement methodologies.


4. Team Leadership & Development:

Lead, mentor, and motivate cross-functional teams across departments.

Foster a high-performance culture with a focus on accountability, results, and continuous improvement.


5. Budgeting & Cost Control:

Develop annual budgets and monitor P&L, cost centers, and operational expenditures.

Identify and drive cost optimization opportunities without compromising quality.


6. Compliance & Risk Management:

Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety norms, and statutory requirements.

Manage risks related to operations, supply chain disruptions, or project delays.


7. Client & Vendor Management:

Interface with key clients for project planning, updates, and relationship building.

Negotiate with vendors and contractors for timely and cost-effective procurement and services.


Key Requirements:

Qualification: B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical/Production/Industrial Engineering + MBA (preferred)

Experience: 15+ years in manufacturing industry, with minimum 5 years in a leadership role.

Strong track record in project execution, plant operations, and business P&L management

In-depth knowledge of production processes, project lifecycle management, supply chain, and ERP systems.

Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
