Job Description

The role is with a Leading Insurance Broking Firm.


Job Responsibilities:

Corporate Business Development

  • Identify and secure new large-ticket corporate clients for insurance and risk advisory services.
  • Develop customized insurance programs, including Property & Casualty, Marine, Liability, and Employee Benefits.
  • Represent the firm in client meetings, industry events, and broker presentations at the CXO level.


Client Relationship & Retention

  • Build strong, long-term relationships with existing clients to ensure renewal, retention, and portfolio growth.
  • Deliver superior client servicing with proactive claims support, regular policy reviews, and value-added risk solutions.
  • Lead client negotiations with insurers and underwriters for optimal pricing and coverage.


P&L Ownership

  • Full accountability for the revenue and profitability of the corporate vertical.
  • Develop annual budgets, forecasts, and growth strategies to meet and exceed financial targets.
  • Monitor cost structures, optimize operational efficiency, and improve contribution margins.


Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead and mentor a team of sales managers, account managers, and servicing professionals.
  • Set and monitor performance targets, drive motivation, and build a high-performance culture.
  • Provide training on insurance products, client engagement strategies, and compliance best practices.


Strategic Engagement & Partnerships

  • Engage with C-level executives, procurement heads, and finance teams of client organizations.
  • Forge strategic alliances with insurers, TPAs, and industry bodies to enhance the firm’s market position.
  • Provide input on product innovation, technology adoption, and service model transformation.


Regulatory & Compliance Oversight

  • Ensure all sales and client activities adhere to IRDAI and regulatory guidelines.
  • Stay updated on industry developments and lead implementation of required compliance standards.


Qualifications

  • 20+ years of experience in corporate insurance sales, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within an insurance broking company.
  • Proven success in handling large corporates and delivering year-on-year growth.
  • Strong understanding of commercial insurance products and underwriting principles.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in P&L ownership and team leadership.
