The Role

You'll own pipeline generation for our US and global markets, focusing on consumer brands that need AI-powered customer experience solutions. This isn't typical BDR work - you'll research strategic accounts, run discovery calls, and create qualified opportunities that fuel our entire sales motion.

You'll work directly with founders and Account Executives, building the pipeline that drives company growth. Your market insights will shape our product and go-to-market strategy.


What You'll Do

Generate and qualify pipeline

  • Build pipeline through LinkedIn, cold email, events, and referrals targeting US and global consumer brands
  • Focus on brands ($1M-$50M revenue) across retail, wellness, beauty, travel, healthcare, finance
  • Research companies to understand their customer experience challenges across acquisition, support, and retention
  • Qualify leads ruthlessly based on fit, budget, timeline, and decision-making process

Run discovery and handoff

  • Conduct initial discovery calls to uncover pain points and quantify impact
  • Articulate how AI employees differ from chatbots and traditional tools
  • Book qualified demos with Account Executives and provide detailed opportunity context
  • Navigate initial conversations with multiple stakeholders

Build market intelligence

  • Gather feedback that informs product development and positioning
  • Share what's working in outreach and what buyer objections you're hearing
  • Provide competitive intelligence and market trends to leadership
  • Help refine sales playbook and messaging for global markets

Maintain pipeline discipline

  • Track your activity metrics and conversion rates in CRM
  • Hit monthly qualified opportunity targets
  • Represent Sagepilot at virtual and in-person events when relevant


What You Should Have

Required:

  • 1-2 years in B2B sales, ideally SaaS, AI, or tech products
  • Track record of hitting activity and pipeline generation goals
  • Strong communication skills - you can explain technical concepts simply
  • Comfortable with prospecting, cold calling, and rejection
  • Experience with CRM tools and pipeline management
  • Self-motivated and thrives in startup environments
  • Bachelor's degree

Nice to have:

  • Experience with consumer brands, D2C, or e-commerce companies
  • Knowledge of the US/Global consumer brand landscape
  • Understanding of AI/ML concepts
  • Network in the startup or consumer brand space
