The Role

You'll own the full sales cycle—from finding prospects to closing deals. This means cold outreach, discovery calls, demos, negotiations, and getting customers live.

You're not just generating leads or just closing. You do both. That's what makes this role different from typical BDR or AE positions.

You'll work directly with the founders, get visibility into strategy, and your deals will directly drive company growth. Your input on what you're hearing from the market will shape our product and go-to-market approach.



What You'll Do

Find and qualify prospects

  • Build pipeline through LinkedIn, cold email, events, and referrals
  • Target consumer brands ($1M-$50M revenue) across retail, wellness, beauty, travel, healthcare, finance
  • Research companies to understand their customer experience challenges
  • Qualify leads based on fit, budget, and timeline

Run the sales process

  • Conduct discovery calls to understand pain points across acquisition, support, and retention
  • Demo the product—show how AI employees work in real scenarios
  • Handle objections and explain how we're different from chatbots and traditional tools
  • Navigate deals involving multiple stakeholders
  • Negotiate pricing and contracts
  • Close deals and hand off smoothly to implementation

Build relationships

  • Stay close to customers for upsells and referrals
  • Gather feedback that informs product development
  • Represent Sagepilot at industry events when relevant

Contribute to growth strategy

  • Share what's working and what's not in your outreach
  • Provide market intelligence on competitors and buyer trends
  • Help refine our sales playbook and messaging
  • Track your pipeline and hit your numbers



What You Should Have

Required:

  • 2+ years in B2B sales, ideally SaaS, AI, or tech products
  • Track record of hitting quotas and closing deals
  • Strong communication skills—you can explain technical concepts simply
  • Comfortable with full-cycle sales from prospecting to close
  • Self-motivated and comfortable with rejection (it's part of the job)
  • Experience with CRM tools and pipeline management
  • Bachelor's degree

Nice to have:

  • Experience selling to consumer brands, D2C, or e-commerce companies
  • Knowledge of the Global consumer brand landscape
  • Understanding of AI/ML concepts
  • Network in the startup or consumer brand space
