Primary Title: Business Development Manager - Recruitment & Staffing
Industry & Sector:
Operating in the staffing, talent acquisition and workforce solutions sector delivering contingency, retained and RPO hiring services for clients across industries in India. This role sits in a high-velocity commercial team focused on selling recruitment services to mid-market and enterprise customers.
Location & Workplace:
India — On-site (client-facing and office-based role).Role & Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end business development for recruitment and staffing services: source, qualify and convert new corporate clients to achieve monthly and quarterly revenue targets.
- Build and manage a healthy sales pipeline using proactive outreach (cold calling, LinkedIn, referrals) and inbound lead follow-up; forecast opportunities accurately.
- Lead consultative client conversations to map hiring needs, propose staffing models (contingency, retained, RPO), prepare commercial proposals and close contracts.
- Collaborate with recruitment delivery teams to ensure SLAs, candidate quality and hiring outcomes meet client expectations and drive repeat business.
- Negotiate commercial terms and finalize service agreements; escalate and resolve contractual or delivery issues to preserve client relationships.
- Track KPIs, maintain CRM records, prepare weekly pipeline reports and continuously refine sales playbook to accelerate wins.
Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have
- 6 months+ of proven B2B business development or sales experience in recruitment/staffing, talent acquisition services, or HR outsourcing.
- Track record of meeting sales targets, closing deals and managing full sales cycle for service-led offerings.
- Strong prospecting skills: cold calling, LinkedIn outreach, referrals and warm lead conversion.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder-management skills; comfortable presenting to hiring managers and C-level stakeholders.
- CRM proficiency (Zoho/HubSpot/Salesforce) and strong pipeline management discipline.
Preferred
- Experience selling across industry verticals or to mid-market/enterprise clients in India; prior background in RPO/retained search is a plus.
- Understanding of recruitment delivery processes and metrics (time-to-fill, submission-to-hire ratios) to align sales promises with operational capacity.
