Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to drive growth for our kids-focused e-commerce website. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a proven track record in the e-commerce sector, possessing a passion for the children's market. This role is responsible for identifying and acquiring new business, managing the full onboarding lifecycle for partners and suppliers, and nurturing key accounts to maximize revenue and ensure long-term success.

Key Responsibilities1. Business Development and Strategy

  • Conduct market research to identify and pursue new business opportunities, including potential brand partners, suppliers, and strategic alliances relevant to the kids' market.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve and exceed sales and profitability targets.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and consumer behavior to inform business decisions and refine our e-commerce strategy.
  • Present compelling proposals and negotiate contracts with potential new partners.

2. Key Account Management

  • Act as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of key accounts, building and nurturing strong, long-lasting relationships.
  • Develop a deep understanding of each key partner's needs and objectives to align them with our products and services, acting as a trusted advisor.
  • Collaborate with key accounts on joint business planning, including sales targets, promotional calendars, and assortment strategy.
  • Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling new products or services to existing partners.

3. Partner Onboarding and Success

  • Oversee the entire onboarding process for new e-commerce partners, guiding them through setup, product listing, and compliance procedures.
  • Ensure the seamless and timely integration of new partners, collaborating with cross-functional teams such as logistics, marketing, and IT.
  • Develop and conduct training for new partners to ensure they are proficient with our e-commerce platform and processes.

4. Performance Analysis and Reporting

  • Monitor and analyze key performance metrics (KPIs) for new and key accounts, including sales volume, conversion rates, and revenue.
  • Prepare and present regular performance reports, forecasts, and strategic recommendations to senior management and partners.
  • Utilize data insights to identify areas for improvement and drive decision-making.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
  • Proven experience (3-5+ years) in business development, key account management, or a similar role within the e-commerce sector.
  • Demonstrable track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and managing high-value accounts.
  • Strong understanding of e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Amazon, etc.) and digital marketing strategies.
  • Exceptional negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven mindset.
  • Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, Zoho) and MS Office Suite.
  • Experience in the kids' products or family-focused market is a significant advantage.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
