Senior Executive / Manager – IT Sales (Government Sector) Location: Kolkata Experience: 5+ years Employment Type: Full-time Job Summary: We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven IT Sales professional with proven experience in the government sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving sales, generating leads, converting opportunities, and managing key accounts with a portfolio size of ₹3–4 Cr annually. Key Responsibilities: Identify, pursue, and convert new business opportunities in the government sector for IT products and services. Generate qualified leads through market research, networking, and participation in government tenders and empanelment processes. Build and maintain strong relationships with government stakeholders, system integrators, and decision-makers. Own the entire sales cycle – from lead generation to deal closure. Prepare and deliver compelling presentations, proposals, and bids in response to RFPs/RFQs. Achieve assigned revenue and margin targets, managing a sales portfolio worth ₹3–4 Cr annually. Maintain accurate sales pipeline and forecasting data in CRM tools. Collaborate with pre-sales, delivery, and support teams to ensure customer satisfaction and project success. Stay updated on government procurement trends, IT initiatives, and policy changes. Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, or related field; MBA preferred. 5+ years of experience in IT sales, with at least 2–3 years in the government sector. Proven track record of handling a sales portfolio of ₹3 Cr+. Strong understanding of government sales cycles, procurement norms, and e-tendering platforms. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Self-motivated, target-driven, and able to work independently. Preferred Skills: Prior experience in working with system integrators or PSU partners. Exposure to sales of products, software solutions or system integration services. Show more Show less
