Role Objective The Business Development Manager (BDM) will play a pivotal role in expanding Garuda Aerospace’s market footprint by converting leads into clients, driving strategic partnerships, and unlocking growth through new and existing channels. This individual will manage inbound/outbound leads, client pitches, and stakeholder engagement—including government and industrial entities.
Key Responsibilities - Lead Generation & Conversion - Handle inbound and outbound B2B/B2C leads across multiple channels - Nurture prospects through the sales funnel to closure - Operate and optimize IVR systems for lead routing - Sales Execution - Conduct persuasive presentations and product demos - Negotiate and close deals aligned with revenue targets
- Coordinate site visits and industrial walk-throughs to build rapport
- Client Engagement & Retention
- Maintain strong relationships with existing clients, vendors, and stakeholders
- Extract business through referrals, upselling, and cross-selling from existing projects
- Deliver tailored solutions based on client pain points
- Government & Institutional Liaison
- Build and sustain professional relationships with government officials
- Leverage institutional goodwill to drive business through public-sector channels
- Partnership Building
- Identify JV partners, strategic collaborators, and reseller opportunities
- Support startup subsidiary formation in alignment with expansion strategy
- Engage VC funds and investor networks for funding opportunities
- Market Intelligence & Strategy
- Analyze industry trends and competitor activity
- Provide strategic inputs on product positioning, client acquisition, and partnership models
Qualifications & Skills - Master’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or equivalent - Minimum 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or strategic growth roles - Experience in tech-driven industries like aerospace, robotics, or IoT preferred - Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills - Comfortable with CRM tools, IVR platforms, and lead management systems - Willingness to travel and participate in on-ground client engagements
