Business Development Manager (BDM)

🌍 Job Title: Business Development Manager – 🧭 Reporting To: Director – Sales & Marketing / Business Head 🕒 Experience Required: 5–10 years in B2B industrial or capital equipment sales, preferably in the Waste Management or Environmental Engineering sector 🎓 Qualification: B.E./B.Tech (Mechanical/Environmental/Civil) + MBA (preferred) ✅ Key Responsibilities: 🔹 Sales & Business Development: Identify new business opportunities across government bodies (ULBs), private contractors, EPC firms, and CSR projects. Promote and sell solid waste management machinery such as: Composting units RDF shredders Air density separators Trommel, conveyors MSW processing plants Lead the sales cycle: from lead generation to proposal submission, technical discussion, negotiation, and order closure. Attend tenders, techno-commercial bids, and pre-bid meetings with clients. 🔹 Client Relationship & Market Expansion: Build and maintain long-term relationships with key decision-makers. Regularly follow up with existing and potential clients to explore upscaling or new projects. Represent the company at trade fairs, expos, and industry forums. Maintain a robust CRM database of projects, contacts, and opportunities. 🔹 Coordination & Reporting: Collaborate with design, estimation, and technical teams to prepare proposals. Provide timely feedback on market trends, competitor activity, and customer requirements. Submit weekly sales plans, visit reports, and forecasting updates to management. 🧩 Key Skills & Competencies: Deep understanding of Solid Waste Management systems and Government Tender Processes. Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. Self-driven, with the ability to work independently and under pressure. Willingness to travel extensively across India.
