Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic and result-driven Business Development Manager (BDM) to expand our international furniture business. The role focuses on generating new leads, developing buyer relationships, increasing order value, and strengthening market presence across export.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new international buyers for furniture and home decor products.
  • Generate leads through exhibitions, online platforms, references, and market research.
  • Convert inquiries into long-term business through negotiation and relationship management.
  • Achieve monthly and annual sales targets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and new clients.
  • Understand buyer requirements, pricing expectations, and market trends.
  • Conduct regular follow-ups, meetings, and presentations with buyers.
  • Coordinate with design, sampling, and merchandising teams for new product development.
  • Suggest new collections based on market trends and buyer feedback.
  • Analyze competitor activity, pricing, and market positioning.
  • Prepare pricing strategies, quotations, and commercial offers.
  • Negotiate order terms including price, MOQ, lead time, and payment terms.
  • Support contract finalization and order closure.
  • Represent the company at trade fairs and buyer meetings.
  • Plan and manage buyer visits, factory tours, and product presentations.
  • Prepare sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and target achievement reports.
  • Maintain CRM data and buyer interaction records.
  • Provide market intelligence reports to management.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Graduate in business administration/engineering/design and MBA in Sales & Marketing (International Business)
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in business development in furniture/home decor, or export industry.
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Experience in export markets, B2B sales, and institutional buyers preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS office, CRM and G Suite.

Reporting to

  • Director

Performance measure Metrics:

  • Generate 40 new enquiries per year, with >= 30% classified as Category A.
  • Achieve an enquirer-to-sampling conversion rate of >= 50% for Category A enquiries.
  • Expand into at least two new market demographics or countries and onboard a minimum of three new customers, achieving a combined revenue of >= ₹2 crore within 12 months.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From ₹1,000,000.00 per year
