Role Overview


We are looking for a Business Development Lead who will own student acquisition, educator partnerships, and revenue growth. This is a leadership role where you will build and manage a high-performing sales & business development team. You will be responsible for driving admissions, partnerships, and market expansion for Ostello in India.



Key Responsibilities

Lead Generation & Prospecting:

  • Identify, research, and pursue new business opportunities in target markets.
  • Develop and manage a robust pipeline of qualified leads through outbound outreach, networking, and industry events.


Strategic Partnerships:

  • Build and nurture strong relationships with potential partners, clients, and key stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with marketing and product teams to craft tailored pitches and solutions for partners.


Sales & Revenue Growth:

  • Own and drive the entire sales cycle from prospecting to closing.
  • Meet or exceed revenue targets and KPIs.


Market Research & Analysis:

  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify new opportunities.
  • Prepare regular reports and dashboards to inform decision-making.


Collaboration & Leadership:

  • Work cross-functionally with product, marketing, and customer success teams to align growth strategies.
  • Mentor and support junior business development or sales team members if applicable.



What We’re Looking For

• 3–5 years of experience in sales, business development, or growth roles (edtech experience is a plus).

• Strong leadership and team management skills.

• Track record of achieving and exceeding revenue targets.

• Excellent communication & negotiation skills.

• Startup mindset: self-driven, ambitious, and able to build from scratch.



What We Offer

• Competitive fixed salary ₹40,000–₹60,000/month (₹6–8 LPA) depending on experience.
