bjectives of the Position
- To implement CASE and eMobility, Performance Materials India sales & marketing strategy in new business development and customers’ management by initiating contacts with existing and potential customers.
- Develop & execute Business Development plan for CASE and eMobility in accordance with the country & regional strategy and objectives.
- Establish & foster strong relationship with customers & industry.
- Identifying new business opportunities, managing relationships with key stakeholders, and executing strategic initiatives to meet CASE's business goals.

ain Areas of Responsibilities and Key Activities
Business Development:
- Provide technical support and expertise on CASE (coatings, composites, adhesives, sealants, and elastomers) and eMobility products to clients and internal teams. Understand product specifications, applications, and industry standards.
- Identify, evaluate, develop, pursue, and implement new business opportunities and strategies that align with CASE's goals and objectives to increase market share and revenue.
- Assist the sales team with technical presentations, product demonstrations, and client training sessions.
- Collaborate with Technical Development & Product Development teams to improve existing products and develop new solutions based on market needs.
- Manage projects related to product applications, client requirements, and technical support. Oversee and manage business development projects, ensuring timely and successful completion.
- Prepare and present regular reports on business development activities, market analysis, and client feedback. Monitor and report on business development activities, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor activities, and potential areas for growth. Provide insights to guide business strategies.
Strategy:
- Define CASE and eMobility milestones, market directions, project pipeline (products & applications), volume, profit, product portfolio and developmental goals & directions in India.
- Identify business opportunity for established and new customer/product/application and develop value proposition on products and pricing for CASE and eMobility in India and provide on-going update to the regional team.
- Monitor and analyze development in the segment and initiate improvement opportunities.
- Scout, identify, analyze, define and set up target applications, target customers (OEMs & Tiers), target products and drive the business growth for the accounts plan with the country with sales and TD team.
- Observe and transfer new market trend/development and prepare business case for new product or application development.
- Identify and prioritize translation/multiplication business opportunity globally from other countries or regions.
- Monitor legislative, technological and social changes in e-Mobility & new energy and participate / lead the key industry associations in the segment in the country
- Develop deep knowledge of market intelligence network in the segment to be well prepared for marketing counter measures.
- Align and coordinate with regional CASE & country PM units and reach out to collaborate with cross-divisional industry group or business units.
Customer Management:
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and industry influencers.
- Understand market, customer, and industry needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Supports in providing the response related to quality, technical applications, inquiries, and other related issues, conducts customers’ assessments and analysis.
- Coordinate with BASF experts to conduct field visits, seminars, presentations and attend to customers’ inquiries.
- Conduct customers’ assessments and analyses to align and ensure the strategic focus in the right place.
- Ensure all supporting functions involved in the delivery of agreed customer’s needs; resolve problems/ expedite matters where appropriate.
- Share Market Intelligence, strategy & communicate internally via visit reports.
Credit Management:
- Monitor the growth of the customers’ business, review and coordinate with credit controlling team to make appropriate credit recommendations.
- Follow-up on payment collections and ensure on-time payment from the customers.
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, Technical Development, Product Development, CSO, SCM, and production to ensure alignment and support for business initiatives.
Job Requirements
(minimum requirement to carry out the work)Education:
Bachelor’s Science degree in Polymer, Chemistry or equivalent, such as Material Science, Chemical Engineering.
Working Experience:
5-8 years technical sales working experience preferably with polyurethane industry, CASE background/experience preferred.
Technical & Professional Knowledge:
- In-depth knowledge of Business Development and technical know-how and applications of CASE, eMobility, New Energy and Polyurethane Industry. Applications, applications development, technical expertise, machines, and processing experiences would be highly desirable.
- Have hands-on experience with polyurethanes (CASE) processing equipment in High/low pressure foaming machine, Spray foaming, etc., would be highly advantageous.
Good English and computer skills (MS 365).
