Territory Manager – Sales | BASF Nunhems | India | Fulltime Job Locations –Jaipur, Nasik, Himmatnagar At BASF’s vegetable seeds business, it is our ambition to make healthy eating enjoyable and sustainable. To further develop and grow this ambition we are looking for an Operational Excellence Lead. At the moment, we are looking for Territory Manager – Sales to join and further develop our ambition. Position purpose Under the supervision and in cooperation with the Breeder give direction to the breeding program to guide the development of new varieties following the strategy of the company allowing a short time-to-market introduction of successful varieties. Major Accountabilities Sales Meet or exceed the annual sales budget of the assigned geography. Also, rationalize, adapt and execute the annual budget inline to the inventory and production outcomes. Develop new relationships in identified target markets with potential dealers and introduce Nunhems/right products in line to agreed business objectives. Build/expand and oversee the network of Retailers to increase our channel depth (penetration) and share of wallet with retailers. Formulate and negotiate with customers (dealers) regarding annual and/or more annual contracts and concepts, within broader guidelines, in order to realise the short term sales targets and the long term partnership objectives. Develop and execute customer (dealers) management, maintain good relationship and improve their loyalty, and make sure their marketing activities in line with company strategies. Handling the complaints effectively which is arising at the dealer level and also coordinating with MDS for the customer complaints in the fields through dealers. Supporting MDS through dealers and retailers for successful introduction of new varieties. Marketing Provide all kinds of market and competitor information (prices, new launches, market intelligence support, product related information etc.) to relevant stakeholders in order to contribute to the formulation of the marketing and sales plan in the respective crops and region Ensure annual business plans are formulated with all the strategic dealers and updated in ADVOC Coordinate with MDS to understand the promotional activities in the assigned geography and partner for big events along with MDS. To execute all the promotional / Marcom activities at the point-of-Sale i.e. at Dealer and Retailers shops. Market development Plan, review, adapt and execute the hotspot market development plan to ensure sufficient pull in the assigned geography/hotspot. Plan and execute the trial program of T2, introduction and commercial trials in order to come up with proposals regarding the assortment and increase the on-ground awareness and subsequent demand for Nunhems assortment. Establish sustainable relationship with KOLs and other influencers by ensuring strong KOL engagement with Nunhems brand. Also, leverage KOLs to promote Nunhems brand and organize grower events. Deliver latest and most updated product knowledge, best practices & agronomical concepts to growers to be seen as the most trusted partner among growers. Share all aspects of grower insights, competitor actions and market intelligence (trends included) with the relevant stakeholders. Handling complaints effectively which is arising at Grower point. Promotion Ensure robust execution of the planned promotion activities (field days, growers meeting, group meetings, training program etc.) in the desired crops/market segments To support Territory Manager - Sales in the liquidation of stocks placed with the channel by conducting aggressive market development activities in the respective geography Promote Nunhems brand awareness and promote trials of Nunhems varieties in order to convert prospective growers into users. Support all kinds of Channel marketing programs by working closely with Channel Marketing Specialist, area sales manager and Country manager. Cash Management Take care of the AR (account receivables) in line with the Finance & Accounting policy and the associated payment terms in order to ensure smooth order flow and credit management. Ensure that all the financial metrics are well monitored/reviewed periodically (DSO in particular). Product Development Initiate the introduction of new varieties and contribute to the commercial success of new varieties. Coordinate to execute crop development plan. Your Profile BSc Agri.
