About The Role

We are building a cloud-based

Operational Risk Data Warehouse

to consolidate operational risk data from multiple internal and external sources, enable quantitative and qualitative analysis, and deliver analytical dashboards and predictive models. We’re seeking a hands-on

Azure Solution Architect

to define architecture, lead technical design, and guide development and deployment on Microsoft Azure.

Key Responsibilities

• eprints, solution diagrams and technical specifications; present designs to stakeholders.
• Lead data ingestion, ETL/ELT and pipeline strategy; design Azure Data Factory pipelines and Databricks jobs.
• Design data models (dimensional and relational) optimized for reporting and analytics.
• Define security, authentication, and data protection using Azure Key Vault, Azure AD (Entra ID), and RBAC.
• Implement monitoring, resilience, and business continuity strategies (App Insights, Log Analytics, backups).
• Work with enterprise architecture, security, and operations teams to ensure compliance with standards.
• Support development teams during implementation, code reviews, and production rollout.
• Develop operational runbooks, deployment guides, and provide knowledge transfer/training.
  

Required Qualifications & Experience

• 8+ years IT experience with substantial hands-on work in cloud architecture and data platforms.
• Strong experience designing and delivering enterprise solutions on Microsoft Azure (ADF, Azure SQL/Managed Instance, Blob/ADLS, App Service).
• Proven expertise building data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Spark/PySpark, or equivalent.
• Deep knowledge of SQL / T-SQL, stored procedures and query performance tuning.
• Experience with Azure Synapse Analytics, ADLS Gen2, or similar data lake/warehouse architectures (preferred).
• Experience implementing security best practices (Key Vault, Azure AD, network security, encryption).
• Familiarity with Azure AI services (Azure OpenAI, Cognitive Services) for ML/AI use cases is a plus.
• Experience producing architecture artifacts, capacity planning, and business continuity design.
• Excellent stakeholder communication and presentation skills.
  

Nice to Have

• Azure Solution Architect certification (AZ-305) or equivalent.
• Prior experience in financial services or operational risk domains.
• Experience with data governance, data lineage, and metadata tools.
  

Deliverables

• Solution architecture document, blueprints and deployment plan.
• Azure infrastructure templates / IaC examples (ARM/Terraform).
• ADF pipeline designs and sample working pipelines.
• Security design and operations runbooks.
• Handover/training materials for the operations team.
