Automation Engineer

Expected Job description: Nike Apprenticeship: Tech Ops: Automation Engineer Role   ·      Education/Experience: •        BE/Btech in Computer Science or related discipline •        Post Graduate Degree in Computer Science or related discipline •        At least 60% score in Graduation •        Prior experience of programming and Automation (like slackbot, chabot etc) is added advantage •        Preferred pass out of 2024 and or 2023   ·      Expectations form the role: •        Expected to work closely with stakeholders to understand, document, review and refine business process workflows including identifying areas of possible simplification. •        Participate in daily team stand-ups, planning sessions, etc. •        Support Automation DevOps team in driving day to day automation projects •        Work with team members to identify, mitigate and resolve project issues and risks •        Ability to Interpret business needs and translate them into operational requirements •        Understanding of various tools/technique used for Automations to streamline Organizational business processes to improve efficiency. •        Ability to multitask •        Adaptability and flexibility in a fast-paced environment •        Work with stakeholders and understand the business requirements •        Able to create AS-IS and To-BE process Maps and able to identify areas of automation •        Support in overall feasibility and development of an Automation project from Idea to implementation   ·      Skills (Must have) •        Software engineering & understanding of basic Project management concepts •        Cloud concepts (AWS, GCP, Azure is added advantage) •        GenAI, AI ML, RAG model, Front end- Full stack development •        Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field •        0-1 years of relevant software development experience •        Familiarity with scripting languages like Node.js or Python •        Exposure to RESTful APIs and relational database systems •        Understanding of software development lifecycle and Agile principles •        Strong communication and willingness to learn from feedback •        SQL concepts •        Good understating of MS Office (Excel, Word, Presentation and Outlook) •        Ability to document Process, Policy, Process flowchart, •        Good understanding of programming language like: Java, Python, scripting etc •        Problem solver, self driven and go-getter attitude •        Excellent communication and interpersonal skills •        Knowledge of Agile methodology •        Knowledge in Automation, Programming and Process optimization and improving operational efficiency. •        Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. •        Experience in any of below tools is an added advantage: § Cognitive software tools, AI/ML § C# and/or Java, html, css, scripting, C++ § Microsoft Technology (VB .NET, Windows, Internet Explorer, SQL Server, Web Services) § Scripting languages (e.g., python, perl, powershell, bash, vbs, etc.   ·      Skills/ Tools (Optional) – •        Knowledge of Service Management and ITIL principles and methodologies •        Knowledge of tools like Automation Anywhere, RPA, Service Now, SAP, Confluence, JIRA etc •        Create/Review/Maintain technical documentation, including the Solution Design Document. •        Design, configure, test, deploy and maintain reusable code/scripts and frameworks. •        Understanding of Change/ Release management and Access management •        Support Test case review, system/integration testing •        Support any technical issues in production Bots, triage and enable quick closure of issues on high priority •        Knowledge of SAP automation preferred   ·      Preferred location – Bangalore, India
