Asst. Manager - Quality Assurance

Job Description

To ensure strict adherence to quality systems, drive continuous improvement, and maintain compliance with internal standards, customer requirements, and statutory/regulatory norms. The role involves leading a team, monitoring quality performance, and supporting cross-functional departments to achieve organizational quality objectives.

Key Responsibilities

ü Assist in implementing and maintaining Quality Management Systems (QMS) such as ISO 9001 / IATF / GMP as applicable

ü Monitor product quality at all stages: incoming, in-process, and final inspection

ü Conduct internal quality audits and support external/customer audits

ü Analyse quality issues, customer complaints, and non-conformances; initiate root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective & preventive actions (CAPA)

ü Prepare and review quality documents, SOPs, work instructions, and records

ü Coordinate with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to resolve quality problems

ü Track and report quality KPIs, rejection rates, and improvement actions

ü Ensure calibration of measuring instruments and maintenance of quality records

ü Train and guide quality inspectors and junior staff

ü Ensure compliance with safety, statutory, and customer-specific requirements

ü Support continuous improvement initiatives such as 5S, Kaizen, Lean, Six Sigma.

Skills & Competencies:

ü Strong knowledge of quality tools (7 QC tools, SPC, FMEA, PPAP, MSA – as applicable)

ü Good analytical and problem-solving skills

ü Effective communication and team coordination

ü Knowledge of documentation and audit processes

ü Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and basic reporting tools.

Experience

8–15 years of experience in Quality Assurance / Quality Control

Experience in manufacturing industry preferred

Any other industrial pumps manufacturing also added advantage.
