A Rubber Mixing Operator is responsible for preparing rubber compounds by operating and maintaining rubber mixing machinery. This role ensures that rubber materials are blended according to precise specifications for use in products like tires, seals, hoses, and industrial components.
Set up and operate rubber mixing machines (e.g., internal mixers, two-roll mills)
- Weigh and measure raw materials accurately based on batch formulas
- Monitor and adjust machine settings (temperature, pressure, speed) during mixing
- Inspect mixed rubber for consistency, color, and quality
- Record batch data, including ingredients, timings, and any deviations
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment
- Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE
- Collaborate with quality control and production teams.
