Purpose/Objective

- Product Development/ Sizing/ Arbitrage Opportunity/ Solution Development (Solar/Wind/BESS/PSP/Thermal) - Policy & Regulatory - Short-term Sale options (Merchant/DAM/G-DAM)

Key Responsibilities of Role

Energy Storage Solutions: Support the integration of storage technologies into renewable energy projects, ensuring their alignment with organizational goals. Assist in developing and evaluating sizing models for energy storage applications. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess storage technologies’ feasibility and their integration into C&I and renewable energy projects. Policy Advocacy & Regulatory Support: Monitor and analyze evolving regulations and policies related to energy storage, and renewable energy markets. Provide strategic insights to align business objectives with current and emerging policies. Assist in drafting and filing policy advocacy documents, including white papers and strategy reports for regulatory bodies such as Various REIAs, MNRE, and other governmental agencies. Coordinate with stakeholders like government bodies, regulatory authorities, and industry peers for advocacy and compliance. Short-term market Track and manage short-term market opportunities and seek tie-ups to ensure maximization of available benefits. Keep track of the operation capacity which can be tied-up in lucrative short term opportunities. Enable such short term transactions by seeking management approval and working with all relevant stakeholders Market Research & Competitor Analysis: Conduct regular market research to track trends and identify new opportunities within energy storage, and regulatory developments. Analyze competitors’ activities pertaining to energy storage and RE industries, providing insights into their strategies and positioning. Support business development by evaluating new business segments, emerging markets, and potential partnerships. Cross-functional Collaboration & Documentation Support: Work closely with internal teams including business development, project management, and regulatory affairs to ensure alignment on all initiatives. Provide documentation support for bid submissions, contract agreements, and compliance tracking. Assist in the preparation of internal reports and presentations to update senior leadership on key business metrics and opportunities.

Qualifications and Experience

Educational Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Maths or analytics Master’s degree or specialized certifications in Analytics, Renewable Energy, or Policy Advocacy is preferred. Work Experience: 5-7 years of experience in renewable energy, C&I projects, ESS projects, policy advocacy, or related fields. Strong understanding of C&I market dynamics, energy storage solutions, and government incentives related to renewable energy. Experience in policy advocacy, regulatory affairs, and compliance for renewable energy projects is a plus. Familiarity with PPAs, and other regulatory frameworks in the renewable energy sector. Proven ability to prepare detailed reports, proposals, and documents for submission to stakeholders.
