Sales Manager – Banqueting & Catering

Role Overview:

The Sales Manager will be responsible for driving revenue growth through proactive banquet sales and catering business development within a luxury 5-star hotel environment. This role requires strong client engagement, relationship management, and strategic sales execution to maximize banquet and catering bookings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Proactively identify and pursue new banquet and catering sales opportunities to achieve revenue targets.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, wedding planners, event organizers, and other key stakeholders.
• Coordinate with operations and culinary teams to ensure seamless execution of events and high client satisfaction.
• Prepare and present sales proposals, quotations, and contracts; negotiate terms to close business effectively.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to refine sales strategies.
• Collaborate with marketing teams to execute promotional campaigns and enhance brand presence.
• Maintain accurate sales forecasts, budgets, and reports to track performance and growth.
• Attend industry events and networking functions to build business pipelines.
• Ensure up-selling and cross-selling opportunities are maximized during client interactions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Sales, Marketing, or related field.
• 5+ years of proven experience in banquet sales within five-star hotel environments, preferably in Mumbai.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong customer focus with the ability to handle high-value clientele.
• Familiarity with event management software and CRM tools is a plus.
