The YIF Office of Outreach and Communications plays a critical role in shaping the public narrative of the Young India Fellowship. It engages prospective applicants, academic institutions, alumni, and other key stakeholders through dynamic digital and on-ground efforts. The office drives awareness and applications through thoughtful content, social media storytelling, campaign strategy, and institution-level outreach across cities. It also collaborates closely with internal stakeholders, including Admissions, Alumni Relations Office, Faculty and current Fellows, to highlight the YIF’s academic distinctiveness, community life, and post-Fellowship pathways. Whether it’s managing admissions campaigns, capturing the everyday life of the Fellowship, or celebrating long-term milestones, the office works at the intersection of communication, relationship-building, and mission-driven engagement.
We are looking for a proactive and creative Assistant/Deputy Manager to join the Outreach and Communications Team of YIF at Ashoka University. This role involves supporting and leading the planning and execution of digital campaigns, social media content, and outreach events. The ideal candidate should have a keen eye for engaging communication, a hands-on approach to content creation, and the ability to coordinate across multiple teams and external stakeholders. Prior experience with digital ads and social media boosts is a strong plus. The role will involve end-to-end ownership of projects, from ideation and strategy to content production, posting, performance tracking, and reporting. You’ll be expected to contribute to campaign planning, manage timelines, and bring in fresh storytelling ideas that resonate with diverse audiences. The Young India Fellowship (YIF) enters its 15th year in 2025–26 — a moment to celebrate its legacy, amplify its impact, and deepen its reach. As we prepare for outreach across digital and physical platforms, we invite you to respond to the following prompts. Your response should reflect both strategic clarity and creative flair.
Design a holistic campaign strategy and outreach roadmap for YIF from September 2025 to June 2026, using the 15-year milestone as a catalyst to:
● Drive interest and applications among prospective candidates (primary audience)
● Engage the broader YIF community — alumni, faculty, staff, partners (secondary
audience)
● Key outreach goals and audience insights
● Suggested phases, flagship moments/events, and peak campaign periods
● Your proposed mix of digital, hybrid, and offline channels
● High-level content pillars or themes for each phase
● Ideas for using YIF@15 to build visibility, credibility, and community engagement
