Qualifications And Experience

  • B.Tech or M.Tech in Food Technology, Food Science, Food Process Engineering, or related field.
  • 6-8 years of hands-on R&D experience in multiple Food & Beverage categories (Beverages/Snacks/Bakery/Convenience)

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Guide the R&D team in understanding the expectations and deliverables of each client project, ensuring structured planning and timely execution.
  • Provide strategic and technical direction to streamline formulation workflows, minimize rework, and accelerate product readiness.
  • Review ingredient functionality and support the team in identifying suitable vendors or alternative ingredient options.
  • Evaluate different formulation combinations and processing techniques to optimize product quality, cost, and sensory parameters.
  • Oversee or conduct internal trials and sensory evaluations, ensuring all trial data and results are properly recorded and interpreted.
  • Enhance productivity by identifying root causes early, refining formulation strategies, and applying best practices from past projects.
  • Delegate responsibilities to the R&D team while monitoring their work quality, timelines, and output.
  • Review and ensure the completeness of documentation, including formulation sheets, trial reports, and final dossiers.
  • Ensure all developed products comply with regulatory requirements (FSSAI, Legal Metrology) and internal quality standards.
  • Guide the team in framing product labelling inputs such as ingredient declarations, nutrition facts, and statutory requirements.
  • Continuously assess ongoing projects for value-addition opportunities, such as cost optimization, clean-label alternatives, or novel ingredient usage.
