Assistant Manager Production

Key Responsibilities1. Production Operations

• Plan, organize, and monitor daily production activities.
• Ensure manufacturing is carried out as per SOPs, BMRs, and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor yield, productivity, and minimize rejections and deviations.
• Ensure availability of raw materials, intermediates, packaging materials, and manpower.
• Co-ordinate with QC & QA for in-process checks, batch release, and compliance.

2. Compliance & Documentation

• Ensure adherence to cGMP, GDP, GxP, and regulatory guidelines (USFDA, MHRA, WHO, CDSCO, etc.).
• Review and approve BMRs, SOPs, change controls, deviations, and CAPA.
• Support data integrity and ensure timely completion of production-related documentation.

3. Equipment & Facility Management

• Ensure proper operation, cleaning, calibration, and maintenance of equipment.
• Support installation and qualification of new equipment.
• Coordinate with engineering for preventive and breakdown maintenance.

4. People Management

• Supervise operators, officers, and shift staff in the production area.
• Provide training to team members on SOPs, cGMP, and safety practices.
• Plan manpower deployment for smooth operations.

5. Continuous Improvement

• Support process optimization and scale-up activities.
• Implement lean manufacturing, cost reduction, and yield improvement initiatives.
• Participate in technology transfer from R&D to production.

6. Safety & EHS

• Ensure adherence to safety, health, and environmental guidelines.
• Monitor housekeeping and safe handling of hazardous materials.
• Conduct safety training and audits in the department.

Key Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of cGMP, GDP, and regulatory compliance.
• Hands-on experience in batch manufacturing, equipment handling, and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of SOP writing, validation, and documentation practices.
• Leadership, planning, and decision-making ability.
• Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP/Oracle) and production planning tools preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
