As part of our operational expansion, we are hiring an experienced Asst. Manager – Production / Production Incharge with strong hands-on beneficiation and process expertise to lead plant operations.

Manager – Production / Production Incharge

Specialization Required: Beneficiation & Process Operations

Location: Beneficiation Plant, Odisha

Mandatory Requirement

This role is strictly for candidates with direct, hands-on experience in mineral beneficiation and process operations. Candidates without core beneficiation plant exposure will not be considered.

Key Responsibilities

1) Beneficiation & Process Operations

• Take full charge of end-to-end mineral beneficiation processes.
• Supervise wet processing circuits including crushing, screening, grinding, slurry preparation, agitation, conditioning, flotation, thickening, and dewatering.
• Supervise dry processing circuits including filtration, drying, sieving, classification, blending, and packing.
• Ensure process stability, recovery optimization, and grade consistency.
• Monitor slurry density, reagent dosing, retention time, moisture levels, and recovery losses.
• Identify process bottlenecks and implement corrective actions in coordination with maintenance and technical teams.

2) Production Planning & Control

• Plan daily, weekly, and shift-wise production based on plant capacity and despatch plans.
• Monitor production targets, equipment utilization, and plant availability.
• Coordinate closely with maintenance, quality, and despatch teams.
• Maintain shift-wise production reports and downtime analysis.

3) Labour & Shift Management

• Lead operators, helpers, loaders, and contract labour in wet and dry sections.
• Allocate manpower as per process and shift requirements.
• Ensure adherence to SOPs, safety rules, and work discipline.
• Conduct daily toolbox talks and process briefings.
• Handle on-ground labour issues effectively.

4) Quality & Recovery Monitoring

• Ensure output meets grade, size, moisture, and quality specifications.
• Track raw material input versus final product recovery.
• Analyse deviations and take corrective action.
• Coordinate with QC and laboratory teams for batch approval.

5) Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain shift-wise production, process parameters, labour attendance, material and reagent consumption, and breakdown records.
• Submit daily and monthly MIS to the Plant Head / Operations Manager.
• Monitor raw material, consumables, and spares inventory and raise indents in advance.

6) Safety, Housekeeping & Compliance

• Enforce PPE usage and safe operating procedures.
• Maintain housekeeping standards across wet and dry sections.
• Identify hazards and ensure corrective and preventive actions.

Eligibility Criteria

• Diploma / ITI / B.Sc. / B.Tech (Mineral Processing / Mechanical / Metallurgy / Industrial preferred).
• Minimum 5 to 10 years of direct hands-on experience in graphite, coal, iron ore, or similar mineral beneficiation plants.
• Strong practical knowledge of wet and dry beneficiation processes is mandatory.
• Proven experience in process control, recovery improvement, and shift operations.
• Physically fit and mentally alert to handle continuous plant operations and breakdowns.
• Willing to work in rotational shifts and stay at or near the plant location.
