Assistant Manager Production

Position Summary:

The individual is responsible to Plan, direct, or coordinate the work activities and resources necessary for manufacturing products in accordance with cost, quality, and quantity specifications. The individual must be self-motivated, self-starting, self-monitoring who would work with the team to train them, motivate them to constantly improve output.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage, support, and lead the team ensuring adequate staffing levels, managing holiday and overtime allowances, recruitment, training, development, appraisal, attendance, disciplinary issues, and daily supervision to maximize efficient productivity.

• Ensure maximum utilization of machines and manpower (capacity utilization) for achieving production as per the norms on each machine

• Organize plant start-up and shut-down schedules to ensure minimum loss of production time. • Review processing schedules or production orders to make decisions concerning inventory requirements, staffing requirements, work procedures, or duty assignments, considering budgetary limitations and time constraints.

• Drive continuous improvement activities in quality, cycle times, process improvement, machine availability through lean techniques.

• Responsible for Documentation & implementation of FMEAs, (Failure Mode Effects Analysis), Control Plan, Production Function Diagram, Control Chart, PPAP.

• Responsible for maintenance and improvement of production lines, Direct facility maintenance or repair activities. • Assist with shop floor layout and cell designs. • Identify and continuously capitalize cost savings opportunities • Manage purchasing open issues and resolutions for review with management. • Help management to establish and implement departmental policies, goals, objectives, and procedures. • Document Control Lead and responsible for all IATF 16949, VDA 6.3 & ISO:9001 audit activities • Assure compliance with rules and regulations in the Production Department. • Provide information as needed for operations decisions. • Perform other duties as required. • Help in improving productivity and quality by effective utilization of improvement techniques such as Lean Manufacturing, TPM, Kaizen, Kanban, OEE and JIT.

• Work with the team to Utilize various productivity & quality improvement techniques, such as Six Sigma, TQMJIT, Waste Elimination, Total Employee Involvement,5S, TPM, Housekeeping, Kaizen, etc.

• Support, comply and ensure complicity with Health & Safety regulations, the Company SOPs, Quality and Environmental standards and all other Company policies.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree (4 year degree) in mechanical, production, automobile engineering. • 3-4 years of relevant experience, preferably in pneumatic and hydraulic products. • Hands on experience in MS Office. • Understanding & exposure of APQP processes. • Exposure and understanding of ISO 9001:2015, IATF-16949 process standards.

Physical Requirements: • Need to switch between production floor activities and desk activities as and when required.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹400,000.00 - ₹700,000.00 per year
