Assistant Manager Production

Role & responsibilities

1. Establish and enforce company policies and safety procedures for staffs.
2. Prepare weekly plan for production activities ( resources) based on customer job orders. 3. Coordinate with Supervisor/ shift in charges to develop production plan and determine workflow requirements. 4. Monitor and manage on-going workflow to ensure timely delivery. 5. Assign daily workload to team members. 6. Ensuring compliance to GMP, GHP & SOPs for smooth flow of operations and maintaining all records. 7. Maintain production documentations and generate routine and ad-hoc reports. 8. Ensure that final product meets quality standards and customer specifications. 9. Ensure that materials are used and handled appropriately to avoid wastages 10. Optimize the manufacturing practices in terms of cost reduction, enhancement in quality, capacity augmentation with improved manpower and resources utilization. 11. Planning and implementing preventive / annual / breakdown maintenance schedules of various equipment's to increase equipment reliability. 12. Perform root cause analysis of production issues and provide corrective actions. 13. Develop cost-effective production solutions while maintaining high quality and productivity. 14. Develop operating instructions and equipment specifications for production activities. 15. Recommend changes in workflow, operations and equipment to maximize production efficiency. 16. Compliance to statutory requirements(zero discharge, no air pollution) 17. Implement cost reduction initiatives while maintaining high quality standards. 18. Manage and motivate production staffs to deliver exceptional work. 19. Inter- departmental coordination for proper execution of work. 20. Communicates effectively with other team members 21. Conducts internal audits for system implementation (IMS, TPM etc.) 22. Verification of physical stock and system stock 23. Provides training and guidance to team members to accomplish production goals. 24. Contribute to waste management programs 25. Assist in developing production budgets and schedules. 26.Ensure 5S Implementation in plant area 27.Investigate, provide and implement corrective measures for near misses and all safety incidents. 28. Train juniors and adherence to training schedule
