Role Overview

The incumbent will be responsible for managing HR technology platforms, ensuring statutory compliance, running payroll seamlessly, driving employee engagement initiatives, maintaining HR SOPs, and supporting business teams as an HRBP. This role blends process management, technology, compliance expertise, and people-focused initiatives to create an efficient, compliant, and engaged workplace.


Key Responsibilities

1. HR Technology & Automation

• Administer, maintain, and optimize HRMS/HR Tech platforms (Zoho Suite, RazorpayX, GWS, etc.).

• Drive automation of HR workflows including appraisals, onboarding, payroll inputs, and compliance filings.

• Create and maintain HR analytics dashboards for leadership and managing internal metrics.

• Ensure HR system data accuracy, integrity, and security.

• Collaborate with vendors for integrations, issue resolution, and upgrades.

2. Compliance Management

• Ensure 100% statutory compliance – PF, ESI, PT, LWF, Income Tax, Gratuity, etc.

• Oversee filing of monthly, quarterly, and annual returns (EPF, ESI, TDS, etc.).

• Maintain digital audit trails and compliance documentation.

• Track changes in labour laws and update policies and processes accordingly.

• Coordinate with auditors and government bodies during inspections.

3. Payroll Administration

• Manage end-to-end monthly payroll processing, including attendance, deductions,

reimbursements, and variable pay.

• Validate payroll inputs with HR, Admin, and Finance teams before processing.

• Handle Full & Final settlements for exiting employees.

• Distribute payslips, tax statements, and Form 16 on time.

• Ensure reconciliation of payroll with accounts and statutory filings.

4. HR Operations & SOP Management

• Maintain and update HR SOPs for all processes – onboarding, exit, leave, travel, reimbursements, appraisals, etc.

• Standardize processes across locations and ensure compliance with internal policies.

• Maintain digital documentation for all HR processes for audit readiness.

• Coordinate cross-functional requests between HR, Admin, Finance, and Operations.

5. Employee Engagement & Culture Building

• Plan and execute engagement activities, recognition programs, and wellness initiatives.

• Conduct periodic surveys (eNPS, pulse checks) and drive action plans.

• Coordinate with leadership for townhalls, offsites, and employee events.

• Track participation and measure engagement ROI.

6. HRBP-Level Support

• Act as a point of contact for designated business units, providing guidance on HR

policies, processes, and grievance handling.

• Support workforce planning, talent reviews, and succession planning.

• Partner with managers to identify training needs and coordinate L&D initiatives.

• Provide inputs for performance management cycles, including goal-setting and

appraisals.


Key Skills & Competencies

• Strong HR systems and payroll knowledge.

• Excellent grasp of Indian labour laws and statutory compliance.

• Process orientation with strong documentation skills.

• Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills; knowledge of HR analytics tools is a plus.

• People-oriented with strong communication and relationship-building skills.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.


Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field.

• 4–6 years of experience in HR operations, payroll, compliance, and employee

engagement.

• Hands-on experience with HRMS/payroll software and automation tools.

• Exposure to HRBP responsibilities in a multi-department setup preferred.

• Payroll Accuracy: % of error-free payroll runs.

• Compliance Timeliness: On-time filings and zero penalties.

• Automation Impact: Number of HR processes automated.

• Engagement Score: eNPS improvement and event participation rates.

• SOP Compliance: % adherence to documented processes.

• Business Partnering Effectiveness: Manager satisfaction score from designated

functions.
