Finance Manager

Key Responsibilities -

Strategic & Financial Leadership

Build and lead the Finance, Accounting, and Compliance team from scratch
Design SOPs, budgeting frameworks, and internal controls tailored for our C2B model
Partner with the CEO for financial planning, business modeling, and capital allocation
Own unit economics, city-level contribution, cash flow, and burn tracking

Accounting, Taxation & Compliance

Manage bookkeeping, GST, TDS, ROC, PF, ESIC, and monthly closures
Ensure daily tracking of pickups, payouts, invoice and ledger reconciliations
Build taxation frameworks for scrap purchases from households and businesses
Ensure 100% audit-readiness (internal, statutory, and investor)

Fundraising, Governance & Investor Reporting

Prepare MIS, board decks, compliance docs, and data rooms
Work with external consultants (legal, secretarial, diligence, etc.)
Ensure timely statutory filings and investor compliance

Finance Automation & Tools

Collaborate with tech team to build barcoded payout & revenue tracking systems
Automate workflows (POs, e-way bills, vendor payments, etc.)
Implement cost-control systems across warehousing, fleet, labor, and technology

Qualifications

Chartered Accountant with CS degree preferred
2–5 years of experience in
VC-backed startups, e-commerce, logistics, recycling, or fintech
Strong understanding of
Tally, Excel automation, MIS reporting tools
In-depth knowledge of
Indian tax laws, compliance, Companies Act, and startup capital instruments
Prior experience in setting up finance from scratch in
asset-light or high operations intensity businesses
Bonus: Exposure to reverse logistics, scrap, waste management, or commodities
