Objective of the Role
The primary objective of the role is to work on Strategic Sourcing & Vendor Development for Hydraulics and Proprietary Items
Job Responsibility / KRA
Global Sourcing of Hydraulics and Proprietary ItemsDevelop Hydraulics parts like Hydraulic Cylinders, Hydraulic Valves, Steering Units, Pumps etc, Proprietary parts like Engines, Axles, Slew Rings, Motors and machining commodity parts with SuppliersAnalyse and identify the cost saving opportunities, drive localization by benchmarking costs with external references and market dataKnowledge about Zero base costing for Hydraulics & Proprietary PartsKnowledge about Import Processes while dealing with suppliersExpediting / follow-ups with suppliers to ensure on time deliveriesVisits to supplier to follow up the develop activities and to resolve the technical issues raised by suppliersCreate and implement sourcing strategies in Responsibility area to support Normet business strategyDevelop suppliers and manage supplier relationships to ensure Normet’s requirements and service levels are metMIS & presentations to management in excel & power pointTo do Supplier Audits with SQA teams to upgrade the suppliers
