Position Overview

As Assistant Manager – Business Development, you will play a key role in driving growth by prospecting, engaging, and closing high-value enterprise software deals focused on manufacturing and quality applications. You will be responsible for the full sales cycle—from lead generation and qualification through proposal development, negotiation, and contract closure. This is a high-impact role for a seasoned software sales professional with strong industry ties and a passion for building client success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prospect and acquire new enterprise clients in manufacturing, Food/ Beverage, Consumer products, aerospace, life sciences, and other industrial sectors.
  • Sell high-value software solutions, including MES, QMS, and related applications that support manufacturing digitalization and quality improvement.
  • Manage the complete sales cycle: lead qualification, solution positioning, proposal development, negotiation, and closing.
  • Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of strategic opportunities and maintain accurate CRM records.
  • Build strong, consultative relationships with key decision-makers including plant managers, quality directors, IT leaders, and C-suite executives.
  • Collaborate with technical teams (pre-sales, solution architects, delivery) to ensure alignment between customer requirements and proposed solutions.
  • Meet and exceed sales targets and contribute to the company's revenue growth and market expansion goals.
  • Represent ATS Global at industry events, conferences, and webinars to promote solutions and deepen market engagement.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Minimum 4–6 years of experience in enterprise software sales, ideally within manufacturing, industrial automation, or quality management.
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and closing complex, high-value deals.
  • Deep understanding of manufacturing environments, including key business challenges, compliance drivers, and digital transformation trends.
  • Strong existing network within the manufacturing, engineering, and quality domains.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills; able to tailor messaging to executive and technical audiences.
  • Self-starter with high accountability, drive, and the ability to manage deals independently.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools and sales reporting metrics.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
