Job Purpose:

Engineer - HT/LT Panel & Cable Termination is responsible for the precise installation, testing, and commissioning of high and low voltage panels and cable terminations. They ensure adherence to electrical codes and safety standards, facilitating reliable electrical infrastructure for renewable systems.

Responsibilities

Panel Installation and Alignment:

Ensure the installation and precise alignment of high-tension (HT) and low-tension (LT) electrical panels, confirming proper positioning and secure mounting per engineering drawings and technical specifications.Implement alignment techniques using precision instruments to meet electrical performance and safety standards.

Cable Termination And Testing

Manage the meticulous termination and connection of cables to HT and LT panels, ensuring proper insulation, grounding, and compliance with electrical codes.Perform comprehensive testing with advanced diagnostic tools, such as insulation resistance testers and cable fault locators, to verify connection integrity and identify potential issues.

System Testing And Validation

Conduct rigorous testing of HT and LT panels to validate performance, including load testing, insulation resistance testing, and functional checks.Utilize specialized testing equipment to ensure panels operate within design parameters and address any performance deviations detected during validation.

Troubleshooting And Maintenance

Address and resolve technical issues related to HT and LT panels and cable terminations, employing advanced diagnostic methods to identify faults and inefficiencies.Implement maintenance procedures, including inspections and repairs, to ensure reliable operation of all electrical systems.

Compliance And Standards Enforcement

Ensure all installation and maintenance activities adhere to relevant electrical standards, including IEC and NEC, as well as safety regulations.Conduct regular inspections and audits to enforce compliance with technical specifications and safety guidelines, ensuring the integrity and reliability of electrical systems.

Documentation And Reporting

Prepare detailed documentation of panel installations, cable terminations, and system testing activities, including technical specifications, performance data, and compliance records.Generate comprehensive reports that provide a clear account of installation procedures, testing results, and any issues encountered to ensure thorough record-keeping and accountability.

Safety Culture Development

Foster a strong safety culture at sites by ensuring workplace safety and adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs).Promote continuous improvement in safety practices and ensure 'zero' accidents and lost time injuries (LTIs) during all operations.

Qualifications

Educational Qualifications:

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required.Strong practical knowledge of electrical installations, cable termination, and testing procedures. Proficiency in relevant electrical codes and standards.

Work Experience

3-4 years of experience in HT/LT panel installation, cable termination, and testing for electrical systems.Hands-on experience in electrical field work, commissioning activities, and quality control. Knowledge of safety protocols and work permit systems.
