Job Description

Assistant Manager – Accounts – KRA

Position: Assistant Manager – Accounts
Department: Finance & Accounts
Location: [Specify Hotel/Property Name]
Reports To: Finance Manager / General Manager

Key Result Areas (KRAs):

  • Financial Accounting & Reporting
  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of daily revenue reports, monthly financial statements, and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Maintain general ledger accounts and verify all journal entries.
  • Coordinate with auditors for internal and statutory audits.
  • Accounts Payable & Receivable Management
  • Oversee vendor invoice processing, payments, and reconciliation.
  • Ensure timely billing, collection, and posting of accounts receivable.
  • Maintain vendor and customer ledgers with accuracy.
  • Cash & Bank Management
  • Monitor daily cash flow and ensure timely bank deposits and reconciliations.
  • Manage petty cash and ensure compliance with company policy.
  • Inventory & Cost Control
  • Coordinate with the Stores and Purchase departments to verify GRNs, stock levels, and consumption reports.
  • Monitor food and beverage cost reports and highlight variances.
  • Payroll & Statutory Compliance
  • Assist in payroll preparation, salary processing, and statutory deductions (PF, ESI, TDS, GST, etc.).
  • Ensure timely filing and compliance with statutory requirements.
  • System Management
  • Maintain and operate accounting software (ALIF, HostBooks, etc.) and property management systems (OPERA, Hotelogix, etc.).
  • Generate MIS reports and support automation or software integration initiatives.
  • Ensure all data entries are accurate and system reports are verified regularly.
  • Budgeting & Financial Analysis
  • Assist in budget preparation and monitor departmental performance against the budget.
  • Analyze financial trends and prepare variance reports for management review.
  • Team Coordination & Training
  • Support and supervise accounting staff for daily operations.
  • Conduct periodic training on financial systems and internal controls.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • Timeliness and accuracy of monthly financial closing.
  • Audit compliance score.
  • Reduction in outstanding payables/receivables.
  • Accuracy in system-generated reports (ALIF, OPERA).
  • Cost variance control within approved limits.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹55,000.00 per month
