Job Description

We are seeking a high-performing Area Sales Manager (ASM) to lead and develop a team of sales representatives and achieve sales targets within a designated geographical area. The ASM will be responsible for driving sales growth, expanding customer base, managing distributor relationships, and ensuring excellent execution of sales strategies on the ground.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Strategy & Execution

Develop and implement area-specific sales strategies aligned with company objectives.

Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.

Team Leadership

Recruit, train, and manage a team of sales executives or territory sales officers.

Set performance targets and monitor individual and team KPIs.

Provide coaching, feedback, and motivation to enhance team productivity.

Market Development

Identify new business opportunities and expansion areas.

Strengthen existing client relationships and build long-term partnerships.

Channel & Distributor Management

Manage relationships with channel partners, distributors, and retailers.

Ensure effective distributor onboarding, inventory management, and secondary sales.

Reporting & Analysis

Track market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback.

Prepare and present regular sales reports to the management.

Compliance & Coordination

Ensure adherence to company policies, pricing structures, and credit control.

Coordinate with marketing, supply chain, and other departments to support sales efforts.

Key Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field. (MBA preferred)

1-3 years of relevant sales experience, preferably in [insert industry, e.g., FMCG, Pharma, Consumer Electronics, etc.].

Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.

Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
