The Area Sales Manager (ASM) is responsible for overseeing sales operations within a designated geographical area. The role involves managing a team of sales representatives, achieving sales targets, building strong customer relationships, expanding market presence, and ensuring smooth distribution and channel management.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve area targets.
Lead, guide, and motivate the sales team to deliver consistent performance.
Identify new business opportunities, expand market coverage, and enhance brand visibility.
Manage dealer/distributor networks and strengthen channel relationships.
Monitor sales performance, prepare periodic reports, and provide market insights.
Conduct regular market visits to track competitor activities and customer trends.
Ensure timely collections and maintain credit discipline with customers.
Train and develop the sales team on product knowledge, sales techniques, and customer handling.
Coordinate with marketing, supply chain, and other departments for smooth operations.
Maintain compliance with company policies, pricing structures, and business ethics.
