Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and result-oriented Area Sales Manager to drive sales growth in the Indian domestic market for our gherkins and related Agro product range. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing market strategies, expanding distribution, managing key accounts, and achieving sales targets across assigned territories.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop strategy based on organizational objectives.
  • Generate sales and strategize business development across Domestic markets
  • Devise the Annual Operating Plan for the designated markets based on previous performance and future plans.
  • Work on strategic priorities state wise strategic initiatives that needs to be achieved with strict timelines.
  • Devise strategic plans for market development based on agreed annual budget and operations & requirements.
  • Ensure timely execution of orders as per the customer’s requirements.
  • Conceptualize and strategize own brand launch in the domestic markets.
  • Work on new product initiatives based on market demand and internal capabilities.
  • Service a range of requirements in the retail (private label), food service as well as repack segments.
  • Coordinate with Product Development team to develop new products and samples as per customer and market requirements.
  • Effectively communicating the customer complaints to Quality Assurance team, working on resolving such complaints, sending timely & appropriate responses to all such concerned customer.
  • Experience in building and managing strong customer relationships across all continents.
  • Monthly Reviews with Area Managers and dealers.

Preference:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Food Technology, Business, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • 10 plus years of experience in sales within Agro products, processed foods, or FMCG sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of the domestic Indian food distribution landscape.
  • Demonstrated success in building and scaling regional markets.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and data interpretation skills.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
