We are seeking an experienced and results-oriented Quality professional to lead our Quality Assurance, Quality Control, and Food Safety operations across our manufacturing facilities. Position Summary The Head of Quality will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing robust quality systems and food safety programs. This leadership role requires deep technical expertise, a proactive mindset, and strong people management skills to ensure that all products consistently meet or exceed regulatory standards and customer expectations. Key Responsibilities Leadership of QA/QC Teams: Lead, mentor, and manage quality assurance and control teams to uphold high standards of food safety and product quality. Quality Systems Management: Design, implement, and maintain food safety and quality management systems including FSSC 22000, BRC, ISO 22000, HACCP, and related SOPs. Regulatory & Customer Compliance: Ensure compliance with FSSAI, FDA, Codex, and other national/international food safety standards, as well as customer-specific requirements. Audit Management: Lead internal audits and manage third-party and customer audits for certifications and compliance. Supplier Quality Oversight: Evaluate, audit, and monitor suppliers to ensure adherence to quality and food safety standards. Issue Resolution: Lead investigations of non-conformances; perform root cause analysis ( RCA ) and implement corrective/preventive actions ( CAPA ). Process Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality, minimize waste, and increase operational efficiency. Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with production, R&D, supply chain, and procurement teams to embed quality in every stage of the process. Training & Capacity Building: Conduct regular training sessions on GMP, GHP, hygiene, food safety, and regulatory standards for all plant personnel. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain comprehensive records and generate analytical reports to monitor quality KPIs and drive performance. Required Qualifications & Experience Education: Bachelors / Masters in Food Science / Food Technology or related field Experience: 14–18 years of progressive experience in QA/QC within the food processing industry, including 3–5 years in a senior leadership role managing teams. Certifications: Lead Auditor certifications in ISO 22000 / BRC / FSSC / HACCP strongly preferred. Technical Competencies: Strong exposure to food safety systems, lab analysis, microbiology, and statutory requirements and expertise in GMP, GHP, and global food standards. Job Summary: The Product Development Executive will play a key role in the design, development, and commercialization of new food products and packaging solutions.
