Position Summary The Head of Quality will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing robust quality systems and food safety programs. Key Responsibilities Leadership of QA/QC Teams: Lead, mentor, and manage quality assurance and control teams to uphold high standards of food safety and product quality. Quality Systems Management: Design, implement, and maintain food safety and quality management systems including FSSC 22000, BRC, ISO 22000, HACCP, and related SOPs. Regulatory & Customer Compliance: Ensure compliance with FSSAI, FDA, Codex, and other national/international food safety standards, as well as customer-specific requirements. Audit Management: Lead internal audits and manage third-party and customer audits for certifications and compliance. Supplier Quality Oversight: Evaluate, audit, and monitor suppliers to ensure adherence to quality and food safety standards. Issue Resolution: Lead investigations of non-conformances; perform root cause analysis ( RCA ) and implement corrective/preventive actions ( CAPA ). Process Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality, minimize waste, and increase operational efficiency. Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with production, R&D, supply chain, and procurement teams to embed quality in every stage of the process. Training & Capacity Building: Conduct regular training sessions on GMP, GHP, hygiene, food safety, and regulatory standards for all plant personnel. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain comprehensive records and generate analytical reports to monitor quality KPIs and drive performance. Required Qualifications & Experience Education: Bachelors / Masters in Food Science / Food Technology or related field Experience: 14–18 years of progressive experience in QA/QC within the food processing industry, including 3–5 years in a senior leadership role managing teams. Certifications: Lead Auditor certifications in ISO 22000 / BRC / FSSC / HACCP strongly preferred.
