About the Role We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Engineer to join our growing team in Kochi. In this role, you will be responsible for driving the sales of our solar energy solutions by identifying and developing new business opportunities, delivering tailored solutions to clients, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the sales cycle. Key Responsibilities New Business Development: Identify and engage potential clients—including residential, commercial, and industrial customers—through direct outreach, referrals, and networking to build a robust sales pipeline. Client Consultation & Needs Assessment: Conduct site assessments and consultations to understand client energy needs, recommend appropriate solar solutions, and align offerings with their goals and budgets. Sales Presentations & Demonstrations: Deliver impactful presentations and product demonstrations that clearly explain the benefits, features, pricing, and advantages of solar energy systems. Proposal Development: Prepare customized proposals including detailed solutions, pricing structures, and financing options that align with client needs and expectations. Customer Relationship Management: Build and nurture long-term relationships with clients to ensure satisfaction, repeat business, and positive referrals. Serve as the primary point of contact throughout the sales process. Lead Management: Diligently follow up on inbound and outbound leads to ensure continuous engagement and progression through the sales funnel. Sales Performance: Meet and exceed individual sales targets and KPIs, contributing to the company’s growth and revenue objectives. CRM & Reporting: Accurately maintain all sales activities, leads, and client communications in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) to ensure effective tracking and reporting. Market Intelligence: Stay informed about the latest trends, technologies, and competitor offerings in the solar energy industry. Use this knowledge to refine sales strategies and educate clients. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with marketing, operations, and technical teams to ensure smooth execution of contracts and successful project implementation. Post-Sales Support: Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction post-installation by addressing any concerns, offering ongoing support, and identifying upselling opportunities. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Renewable Energy, Engineering, or a related field (preferred). 1–3 years of experience in sales—preferably in solar, renewable energy, or a related technical field. Solid understanding of solar energy solutions and the renewable energy landscape (a plus). Demonstrated ability to consistently meet or exceed sales targets. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Highly organized, self-motivated, and capable of managing multiple opportunities independently. Strong customer focus with a drive to deliver outstanding service. Proficiency with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite. Goal-oriented, resilient, and driven to succeed in a competitive, fast-paced market.
